Innovative pioneer in cellulose
1908
Nippon Celluloid Artificial Silk Co., Ltd. (currently Aboshi Plant) is established, and celluloid manufacturing begins
1919
Dainippon Celluloid Co., Ltd. is established through the merger of eight celluloid manufacturing companies
1929
The acetate plastic Acetyloid is developed
1938
Cellulose Acetate manufacturing begins
1966
The Company is renamed Daicel Co., Ltd.
1979
The Company is renamed
Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd.
1986
The Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd. Cellulose and Acety Business Division splits off and forms Art Plus Corporation
1991
Art Plus Corporation absorbs Daicel Craft Ltd. and changes its name to Daicel Craft Ltd.
1996
Celluloid and wet block sheet manufacturing move to the Chinese plant
1999
Extrusion sheet and dry block sheet manufacturing move to the Chinese plant
2001
Daicel Kaseihin Co., Ltd., Art Plus Corporation, and Daicel Craft Ltd. merge to form
Daicel FineChem Ltd.
2015
ACETY EC Pellets are put on the market
2020
Daicel FineChem Ltd., Daicel Polymers, Ltd.,
and Daicel Value Coating Ltd. merge to form Daicel Miraizu Ltd.
